President Bola Tinubu has held the inaugural meeting with the newly appointed Service Chiefs.
It was earlier reported reported how Tinubu fired some Service Chiefs and retained General Olufemi Oluyede, but changed his role from Chief of Army Staff to Chief of Defence Staff, reports Daily Trust.
Major-General W. Shaibu replaced Oluyede as new Chief of Army Staff, and Air Vice Marshall S.K Aneke was named new Chief of Air Staff, while Rear Admiral I. Abbas got the position of Chief of Naval Staff.
The president charged the newly appointed Service Chiefs to justify the confidence reposed in them to further enhance the professionalism, vigilance and comradeship that define the Armed Forces of Nigeria.
