Mother of one found dead in her room

The FrontierThe FrontierNovember 10, 2023 4121 Minutes read0

The body of another woman has been found in her apartment in the Ogbumbada compound in Rumalogu in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.

A source said the woman, identified as Blessing Williams, was found dead in her apartment yesterday, reports The PUNCH.

The source, who pleaded anonymity, said the single mother has been going through hard times.

She added that her mother has been giving a helping hand to the deceased and her son for days, describing her death as shocking.

She stated, “This morning, I was in my house when the son was passing by. So my mom called him and asked how his mom was.

“He said his mom is fine. He then asked the boy to go home, have his birth, and come back so that she would give him some money to get something for him and his mom.

“Not up to 20 minutes; he rushed back and said he had been calling his mom, and she was not answering.”

“I now followed him, and truly the mom was dead. For three days, we have been the ones feeding them.”

This came after the body of a female student of the University of Port Harcourt was found dead in her apartment in the Aluu community in the Ikwerre Local Government Area of the state.

Also, it came weeks after the decomposing body of a female student of the University of Port Harcourt, Justina Otuene, was found allegedly in her ex-lover’s apartment in Ozuoba, also in Obio/Akpor LGA.

Yesterday, news filtered in of a 13-year-old girl allegedly kidnapped, killed, and buried in a shallow grave by hoodlums in Amaku-Mba in Etche LGA of the state.

Efforts to reach the spokesperson for the state Police Command, Grace Iringe-Koko, on the latest incident proved abortive as her mobile phone was not connecting.

She had also yet to reply to a text message sent to him as of the time of filing this report today.
