Plans have been concluded to bring together youths in their thousands to converge on The Salvation Army in Lagos for a seminar with the theme, “Chasing Dreams & Reclaiming Hope”.

Explaining the rationale behind the programme in a chat with our correspondent over the weekend, the leader of The Salvation Army in Lagos State (Divisional Commander), Major Michael Sijuade, said the international organisation is bringing together young men and women to counsel and encourage them not to lose focus in life.

“We have selected professionals from various disciplines who will ignite these youths to chase their dreams and reclaim hope. We want to let them know in practical terms that they can be whatever they want to be in life if they keep hope alive and work assiduously towards it,” said Sijuade.

According to the organisers, the youth seminar will be held on Saturday May 4, 2024 at The Salvation Army, Ejigbo Citadel, as part of their annual weekend evangelical programme tagged “Back To Bethel” which will commence on Friday, May 3 and end on Sunday, May 5.

According to the organisers, the youth seminar segment of the weekend programme will feature panel discussions on “Navigating the business and career terrain” as well as a question and answer (Q&A) session, and will be beamed live for youths around the world to participate.

Professionals selected to officiate as panelists for the youth seminar include CSM Bolanle Ogunusi, Executive Director of Micmary Group of Schools; Envoy Donatus Obi, Chairman/CEO Everbright Globlink Limited; Dr (Mrs) Blessing Anyikwa, Associate Professor, University of Lagos; Ezugwu Chukwudi a.k.a. Husband Material, On Air Personality with Wazobia FM; Obunike Ezeife, Territorial Manager, Total Energies Marketing Nig. Plc; Uche Iwuamadi Esq, Group Executive Director, African Steel Ltd., among others.
