•Caucus of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the House of Representatives

Ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Caucus of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the House of Representatives endorsed all the decisions of the various committees and organs of the party, including the Zamfara and Lagos decisions, to stabilise the party.

Speaking with newsmen in Abuja after the emergency meeting of the Caucus, its Leader, Hon Fred Agbedi, disclosed that the Caucus took the decision in support of all efforts to forge a formidable front ahead of the 2027 general elections.

According to him, “As the representatives of the people, we have resolved to ensure that we support the position of the party, to create more stability, peace, and strengthen this party to ensure that we take victory in the presidential and other elections by 2027.

“There are no lingering crises. We have no issue about lingering crises. What we have told you is that the caucus adopts all the decisions of the committees and organs of the party, and we are ready to work with them.”

Hon Agbedi declared that the lawmakers in the 10th Assembly were determined to support efforts aimed at restoring lasting peace in the party.

He added that the Caucus had resolved to synergise with the party’s leadership to ensure progress in the overall interest of Nigerian citizens.

The Caucus leader appealed to party members at all levels to set aside their differences to allow the ongoing efforts to revive the party to materialise and restore sanity in the political landscape of the country.

According to Agbedi, “Nigerians are now in the best position to decide where to go come 2027. Having seen the difference between our party and our neighbours, the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), the difference is crystal clear.”
