Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Asue Ighodalo, has emerged victorious at the polling unit in Idumuoka Primary Health Centre of Igueben Local Government Area of Edo State.

According to the result declared at the polling unit, Ighodalo polled 104 votes to defeat Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who secured 34 votes while Olumide Akpata of Labour Party came a distant third with four votes, reports Daily Trust.

After casting his ballot earlier today, Ighodalo had boasted that he would win the governorship election by landslide.
