Police burst criminal hideouts in Kano, arrest 41 suspects

The FrontierThe FrontierAugust 21, 2024 2211 Minutes read0

The Kano State Police Command today confirmed that it has recorded a significant breakthrough in its efforts to combat crime in the state.

This is in compliance with the directives of the Inspector-General of Police toward ensuring round-the-clock visibility patrols.

Following a series of raids on criminal hideouts and black spots in areas of public outcry within Kano Metropolis, the Command arrested 41 suspects and recovered dangerous weapons and intoxicating drugs, with the investigation ongoing.

In a statement made available to newsmen today, the Kano State Police Command, Public Relations Officer, SP Abdullahi Kiyawa, attributed the achievement to the sustenance of intelligence-led policing by CP Dogo.

“I deeply appreciate the public support as all forms of crimes are reducing drastically”, CP Dogo asserted.

“This achievement is a testament to the command’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the good people of Kano State.

“The police command is pleased to report that all forms of crimes are reducing drastically in the State, thanks to the cooperation and support of the law-abiding citizens.”

“I’m assuring Kano residents of the command’s relentless commitment to protecting lives and properties,” he said.

The command called on the public to continue to cooperate with the police by providing timely and accurate information to facilitate the command’s efforts in ridding the state of criminal elements.

“In case of emergency, please call our dedicated lines: 08032419754, 08123821575, or 09029292926”, he offered.
