Renowned Nigerian gospel minister and trumpeter, Nathaniel Ndiana-abasi Bassey, today, celebrated his birthday with a heartfelt message of gratitude, declaring God’s faithfulness over his life.
In a post shared on his official X handle, @nathanielblow, Bassey told his fans and followers that his success and journey have not been by his own strength, but by the grace and favour of God.
The 44-year-old man of God, who is known globally for his spirit-lifting songs such as “Imela” and “Onise Iyanu,” described himself as “a man truly helped and favoured by God.”
Reflecting on his life, he emphasised that everything he has achieved could only be credited to divine intervention.
Quoting Psalms 44:3 (NKJV), the gospel singer wrote:
“For I (Nathaniel Bassey) did not gain possession of the land by my own sword, Nor did my own arm save them; But it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your countenance, Because You favoured Me.”
In his post, the convener of the Hallelujah Challenge movement urged Christians worldwide to join him in thanking God for His mercies and faithfulness.
“Mine is a story of grace. Another year to declare God’s goodness, Nathaniel said “Saints, please help me thank this God,”
Bassey has consistently used his platform to inspire millions through worship, prayers, and music, highlighting the centrality of God’s grace in his ministry and personal journey.
As he steps into a new year, he once again attributes his life, career, and impact to divine favour, reinforcing his long-standing message that all glory belongs to God.
