ROMANCE GONE SOUR: My wife sleeps around like a dog, never satisfied with sex. I caught her with fellow pastor, other men

The FrontierThe FrontierOctober 5, 2024 2252 Minutes read0

A pastor, Olugbenga, (surname withheld) has sought for the dissolution of his 30-year-old marriage to his wife, Banke, on the grounds of irresponsibility, infidelity and constant fight.

The case is at Grade A Customary, Mapo, Ibadan, Oyo State.

Olugbenga said that his wife was dating two other men when they met.

According to him, he made love advances to her and she agreed to also go out with him, adding that she got pregnant no sooner than they started dating because they were constantly having sex.

The plaintiff explained that the defendant’s insatiable lust for sex grew and became worse after they got married.

Olugbenga told the court that Banke was engaged in extramarital affairs, and he claimed that he caught her more than once sleeping with a particular man who is also a pastor.

He further averred that he stopped having sex with Banke over a decade ago to avoid being infected with Sexuallly Transmitted Disease (STD) and that he later walked out of their marriage before she killed him.

Banke, in her response denied all the allegations Olugbenga levelled against her.

The defendant, however, gave her consent to divorce.

Olugbenga, in his evidence, said: “My wife was into a relationship with two different men when we met. I approached her for a relationship because I felt she was not serious with the other men. She agreed to my love advances, and we started dating.

“We had sex on a regular basis, and before I knew it, she was pregnant. We started living together as husband and wife, but I never paid her bride price.

“I started getting infuriated with my wife early in our marriage because she was a talkative. Banke would always find a topic to discuss and refuse that I had time to myself.

“My wife was also disrespectful. She had no regard for my calling as a servant of God and would always address me rudely. She treated me with scorn, not giving a damn that I was the head of home.

“Worse still was her insatiable lust for sex. My wife had strings of lovers and slept around like a dog. We always had a brawl over her shameful ways, but she refused to change. I caught her more than once having sex with a particular man who is a pastor.

“I stopped having sex with her over a decade ago to avoid being infected with Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD).

“I later walked out of our marriage when it was obvious she might kill me as a result of her promiscuous lifestyle. She is presently living in my house but I want her out. I pray this court to end our relationship.”

The court president, Mrs. S.M Akintayo, adjourned the case.
