Should red be the colour of Valentine? Nigerian celebrities speak

The FrontierThe FrontierFebruary 17, 2024 3771 Minutes read0

2024 Valentine’s Day was cliché in so many ways, including the massive representation of the colour red in every item possible. From red velvet cakes to red macaroons, red-wrapped candy, red outfits, roses, cars and ribbons, reports Saturday Independent.

The colour made a grand outing and lovers all around Nigeria loved it.

But should red be the colour of Valentine?

Many Nigerian celebrities dressed in their interpreted colour of the day and our correspondent has curated a few to help decide if red is indeed the colour of Valentines.

1. Faithia Williams. Nollywood actress Faithia Williams didn’t wear red as expected. Instead, her chosen colour for the day was yellow, and she looked lovely.

2. Osas Ighodaro didn’t beat around the bush. She favoured red in a beautiful retro way.

3. Eniola Badmus. Surprisingly, this Nollywood actress known for being different, showed up well in red. Dazzling her fans, she stood gorgeous in her red ensemble.

4. Yvonne Jegede. This Nollwood diva equally favoured the flaming colour red and she pulled it off masterfully.

6. Wumi Toriola. Certainly one for the books, actress Wumi Toriola celebrated Valentine’s Day in warrior style. She completed the look with local gun props. Of course, she added a picture of modern beauty in another slide.
