Actress and producer Funke Akindele has released a festive Christmas song titled “Everybody Loves Christmas.”

The song, produced by Cohbams Asuquo, features Waje and the cast of “Everybody Loves Jenifa”.

The official video features a star-studded lineup and industry favorites, including Jide Kosoko as Father Christmas, Patience Ozokwo showcasing her iconic Mama G dance moves, and the songbird Waje delivering her signature powerful vocals.

The video opens with Bisola Aiyeola singing the opening lines: “Christmas, my favourite time of the year, the time of the year when the jollof is always sweeter and the chicken always bigger.”

Layi Wasabi also makes an appearance, adding his characteristic humorous banter.

Nancy Isime, dressed in a stunning green outfit, sings, “The reason for the season is the loving and the giving…”

Funke Akindele and comedienne Omotunde Adebowale, also known as Adaku, entertain in Yoruba, while Dbanj raps and distributes gifts to children.

Lateef Adedimeji joins in, singing and dancing with enthusiasm.

In his usual smooth talking rap style, Falz, “wants to send a shout-out to mummy and daddy…”.

In the YouTube comments, user jenniferdavid247 wrote, “Can this be our official Christmas song in Nigeria and we make it trend every Christmas just like we have Mariah Carey’s Christmas song trend every year cause this is too good, I was hoping it doesn’t end.”

The music video director, Pink, commented, “We made a magical one! I hope you all love it!”

Another delighted user, lslamiyatAyantola, praised the song, saying, “Bisola’s intro is a banger, Lateef’s voice is super sweet, Layi’s voice made it interesting, Kamo is the new Zlatan, and Funke’s performance was outstanding. In short, everybody killed the song. E sweet paaa.”
