Tubaba, 9ice, Faze reunite for Decemba show

Afrobeats legends Tubaba, Faze and 9ice are set to headline the 3rd edition of the annual comedy and music concert, MainlandLaffs, tagged Legends Decemba, at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Sheraton Hotels, Ikeja, Lagos State, on Sunday, December 7, 2025.

The event will showcase Nigeria’s music and comedy icons, among whom is the legendary boy band Plantashun Boyz, who will be performing on stage for the first time in almost 20 years.

According to the Executive Producer of the show, Mannie Udoh, MainlandLaffs was created to address the cliché among Lagosians that Lekki and Victoria Island are the only destinations for premium events.

Udoh said, “We are a family entertainment brand, and our USP is that we host the biggest family entertainment events on the Lagos Mainland.”

“This is why, over the years, we have continued to ensure that we take the quality of entertainment higher with every edition. This year, Sunday, December 7, will be a full day of fun, excitement and quality entertainment, with three mega events in one.”

The show promoter and Country Manager for Etu Odi Communications, Olumide Campbell, reiterated that the idea for MainlandLaffs goes beyond entertainment, adding that the event serves as a platform to showcase the Mainland as the heart of Lagos, celebrating its values, diversity, creativity and cultural vibrancy.

The event will feature standup comedy icons such as Basketmouth, Kenny Blaq, Dr Smiles, Husband Material, 16 Oniru, Omini Aho, MC Bishop and Larry J. Activities include a Christmas Pop-Up Sales Party with over a hundred vendors offering discounts and gifts to shoppers.

This will be followed by a Mega Gospel Music Comedy Fest, tagged Decembe2Rememba, featuring mainstream gospel acts including DJ Horphuray on the wheels of steel and Blackboy MCM as the hypeman.

The night will then transition into a Praise Fest, with comedy, dancers and other performers creating a perfect atmosphere to kick off the Christmas and end-of-year thanksgiving season.
