The Nigeria Examinations Committee has concluded its 78th meeting.

It was concluded on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, according to a post from the West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination.

In an update for candidates awaiting their examination results, the NEC has announced that re-checks will commence on Monday, October 14, 2024.

West Africa Examination Council announced in an X post using its official #waecnigeria today.

It was earlier reported that the 78th meeting, which began on Monday, was set to tackle malpractice and irregularities reported during the 2024 WASSCE for school candidates. https://punchng.com/waec-holds-meeting-to-review-2024-wassce-exam-malpractice-irregularities/

The meeting addressed issues related to examination standards, results processing, and future policies aimed at enhancing the integrity of examinations across the nation.

“ICYMI: The 78th Meeting of the Nigeria Examinations Committee (NEC) ended on October 9 2024. The communiqué from the meeting will be made available soon. Candidates can re-check their results from Monday, October 14, 2024,” the post read.

Students, parents, and educators are encouraged to stay tuned for the forthcoming communiqué, which will outline further developments and policies impacting the examination landscape in Nigeria.

The examination result was released two months ago.

The message read, “The West African Examinations Council is pleased to inform candidates who sat WASSCE for school candidates, 2024 that the result has officially been released today, Monday, August 12, 2024.”

Meanwhile, WAEC withheld the results of 215,267 candidates from the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination.
