The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abbas Tajudeen today felicitated former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR, as he clocks 67, calling him a peacemaker.
Speaker Abbas, in a congratulatory message through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Abdullahi Krishi, described ex-President Jonathan as a peacemaker, bridge-builder, and nationalist.
Abbas said ex-President Jonathan has become “a symbol of democracy” who has continued to preach peace and unity across Africa.
He added that the former president has continued to serve his country, Nigeria, even after leaving office.
Speaker Abbas, while wishing ex-President Jonathan more years on earth, in service to his fatherland, urged him to continue with his patriotic service to Nigeria.
