Lagos Assembly approves appointments into key commissions, agencies •FULL LIST

The Lagos State House of Assembly today approved the appointment of several distinguished individuals into key commissions and agencies across the state.

The appointments followed the successful screening conducted by the 12-man Ad hoc Committee on Screening of Nominees, chaired by Hon. Mojeed F.A. (Ibeju-Lekki I), reports The Guardian.

The approved appointments, according to a statement on the official X account of the Lagos State House of Assembly are Prince Adewale Taorid Ojora – Member, Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) and Lagos State Electricity Regulatory Commission: Engr. Abimbola Odubiyi – Chairman (Non-Executive), Mr. Tunde Gbajumo – Non-Executive Member, Animashaun Fouad Olayinka – CEO/Executive Member, Barr. Kofo Olokun – Executive Member and Oluwaseun A. Fadare – Executive Member.

Other appointments made into the Lagos State Civil Service Commission consist of: Mrs. Dapo-Thomas Bolade, Mr. Fatai Olalekan Lasisi, Mr. Afolabi Olatunji Sobowale, Mr. Rufus Adekoya Adedapo and Mr. Lateef Yahaya.

For the Office of the Public Defender (OPD) Governing Council, Mr. Jide Badmos and Ms. Yinka Shitta-Bey were each reappointed for another 4-year term.

“These approvals reinforce the Assembly’s unwavering commitment to good governance, institutional strength, and the delivery of quality service to the people of Lagos State, in line with the vision of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu,” the statement read.
