JUST IN: Senate President Akpabio finally arrives at the chambers, takes over proceedings •VIDEO

The FrontierThe FrontierOctober 7, 2025 3750 Minutes read0

The Senate President, Godswill Obot Akpabio, has finally taken over proceedings at the Senate plenary.

The Frontier earlier reported that the plenary was presided over by the deputy president, Barau Jibrin when the embattled Senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, resumed this morning after a six-month suspension.

The Frontier reliably gathered that the Senate President later arrived at the red chambers and took over the proceedings.

“The Senate President has arrived and has taken over proceedings. Unlike the earlier reports in the media, Natasha was not inside the chambers earlier, she came in much later after the Senate President took over. She is inside the chambers now,” said our source.

Asked what would have caused the media reports that Senator Natasha was already seated inside the chambers at the resumption of the plenary presided over by the Deputy Senate President, our source said, “Trust the Senator (Natasha) with her theatrics, she would have dramatised it in the social media if there was anything like that.”
