WORKERS’ DAY: Lagos govt to pay additional N50,000 to workers to cushion economic hardship

To cushion the effect of the recent fuel price increase, the Lagos State government has promised to pay all workers in the state an extra N50,000.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu disclosed this today during the 2026 Workers’ Day Commemoration, themed: “Insecurity, Poverty – Bane of Decent Work,” held at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, in Lagos, today.
