Afrobeats singer Fola gifted his mother a car and the land where she built her own church.
The singer, whose real name is Folarin Odunlami, shared the emotional moment on social media, revealing that his mother told him what she wanted as his music career began to take shape.
According to Fola, his mother wished for her own church building and a specific car.
“When things started to align, I randomly asked my mother what she wanted, and she said she wanted her own church building and this specific car. I thank God for keeping this running long enough for me to say I’ve done both things,” he wrote.
Earlier, he used his first major earnings from music to purchase a piece of land for his mother in Ibadan, where she subsequently built a church.
With the latest gift, Fola has now fulfilled the second part of the promise by presenting her with the requested car.
He previously credited his mother for encouraging him to pursue his dreams, saying she consistently told him he would become a star.
He rose to prominence with his hit single, Alone, and has since collaborated with prominent artistes including Ayra Starr, Wizkid, BNXN, Zlatan, Victony and DJ Tunez.
He is signed to Dangbana Republik and Empire and released his debut studio album, Catharsis, in September 2025.
