APC chieftain to Tinubu: Address lopsided appointments in your govt

All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in Zamfara State, Dr. Sani Shinkafi, has urged President Bola Tinubu to reevaluate political appointments from states that contributed to winning votes in the 2023 presidential election, stating that Tinubu still owes the electorate of Zamfara.

According to Dr. Shinkafi, the appointments made by President Tinubu are disproportionate, as states like Zamfara, which delivered significant support to Tinubu, have been overlooked in terms of political appointments, not including constitutional positions, reports Nigerian Tribune.

Speaking during the formal inauguration of the Wamban Shinkafi Democratic Front committee in Gusau, Dr. Shinkafi stated that the committee was established to promote awareness among the electorate, ensure justice in politics, and advocate for good governance in the state.

“There would be no political slavery any more, imposing candidate is over, I would stand on my feet, power belongs to Allah, he gives to whoever he so wishes at the time he wishes”, he stated.

He assured to stand firm and fight for the political rights of people with fairness, and decorum.

“I will no longer make alliance, merger or political compromise to get power, only God can give power”, he mentioned.

During the inauguration of Wamban Shinkafi Democratic Front, Hon. Yushau Abdullahi made a stand as state chairman, with 14 local government chairmen, a steering committee and zonal committee members in the state.

Shinkafi called on those inaugurated to intensify awareness campaigns from the grassroot toward the 2027 general election.

The Wamban Shinkafi Democratic Front, meanwhile, passed a vote of confidence to President Tinubu and APC national chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje.
