Corpse of 2-year-old girl discovered in mosque

The FrontierThe FrontierNovember 7, 2024 2320 Minutes read0

There are strong indications that some arrests have been made by the Bauchi State Police Command in connection with the discovery of the corpse of a 2-year-old girl in a mosque in Ningi, the headquarters of Ningi LGA.

A reliable source in Ningi confirmed to our correspondent that the arrests were made following a thorough investigation by personnel from the Ningi Police, in collaboration with members of the public familiar with the situation, reports Nigerian Tribune.

The source, who requested anonymity for security reasons, disclosed that those arrested include close relatives of the deceased 2-year-old girl.

According to the source, the circumstances surrounding the girl’s birth were initially connected to her death, considering the details that led to the incident.

He, however, expressed confidence in the police to uncover the full details surrounding the girl’s gruesome death, stressing that justice must be served to deter others who may find themselves in a similar situation.

When contacted for an update on the case, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Ahmed Wakili, assured that the Command has made significant progress in its investigation and will soon make its findings public.
