Disregard messages on free company registration – CAC urges Nigerians

The FrontierThe FrontierNovember 7, 2023 6691 Minutes read0

The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) today urged Nigerians to disregard messages on free registration of business names and companies.

The Nigerian Companies Registry issued this warning in a statement on X (formerly Twitter) and said such messages would never come from them.

“Please, disregard any SMS or WhatsApp message asking you to enrol for free CAC registration, as it is not from us! Thank you,” CAC posted.

Meanwhile, the Lagos Office of the Corporate Affairs Commission played host yesterday to the Registrar General/CEO of the Commission, Hussaini Ishaq Magaji (SAN).

The Registrar General, who came to Lagos on an official engagement, decided to visit the state office of CAC in continuation of his interactive meetings with staff.

Accompanied by the Head of Public Affairs/Deputy Director, Dominic O. Inyang, the CAC boss was received on arrival by the Head of Lagos Office/Assistant Director, Mabuyaku Oritsematosan Joan, who conducted him around the facilities at the office.

The Registrar-General interacted with members of staff and entertained their complaints, challenges and suggestions.

Magaji also assured them of a prompt response to the issues for enhanced productivity.

He stressed that the visit will afford him the opportunity to hear firsthand their challenges and experiences on the job and provide immediate solutions where possible.
