Edo 2024: We’ve more aspirants in Labour Party but I’m unique – Mudiame boasts

The FrontierThe FrontierDecember 10, 2023 6351 Minutes read0

Edo State Labour Party governorship aspirant and founder, Mudiame University, Irrua, Professor S.E Eromesele, has said that though the party parades a lot of governorship aspirants but he stands unique among all in the race to the Osadebe Avenue come 2024.

He disclosed this in Benin shortly after being honoured by the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Edo State Council.

Prof. Eromesele said that he was not just going into politics but to change the narratives as he has a lot of values to add to the state.

“We have number of aspirants that are vying for the office of the governorship in Labour Party but I am very unique.

“I am not playing politics, I have content, I have something to offer. So I am coming to add value and not about politics. So, that will make me different from the rest”, Eromesele said.

Speaking on the award bestowed on him by the NUJ, he said it will spur him to contribute to the development of the society the more.

“This award is so significant to me because I have had several awards over the world but this is very significant to me because it is coming from a special group, the Journalists.

“These are the people that are taking risk for the voiceless, these are the people that get the government to get their work done. And so, they are very unique in the society.

“I am spurred by this award of today. And like I said, I made a vow to God, I told God for the rest of my life, I will serve humanity because I was poor and He raised me and so I am so motivated today because people mirrored me and I never expected this, that has spurred me to put in more effort.

“So, I am ready to put in more effort for the less privilege and for the betterment of our dear society, especially Edo State that is crippled today”, Eromesele added.
