A lawyer, Inibehe Effiong, has accused the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), Lateef Fagbemi, of insincerity with the supposed autonomy granted local governments (LGs) in Nigeria.
Effiong said this on Channels TV today.
According to him, with the reported seizure of LG funds in Osun State by the Tinubu-led federal government and the unfolding drama surrounding the caretaker committees in place in Rivers State, true LG autonomy seems an illusion.
