A National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, Imikan Inyang, popularly known as Backhat Dude on TikTok, has captured the attention of social media users with engaging videos featuring pupils at his place of primary assignment.
The Accounting graduate posted his first classroom video on February 17, 2026, and has since built a strong online following by showcasing dance challenges, classroom interactions, and everyday school activities that highlight his pupils’ confidence and creativity.
His rise to prominence began when a video of him and his pupils participating in a trending challenge went viral, reports The Nation.
Since then, he has continued creating content with the children outside classroom hours, often featuring them in their school uniforms as they take part in popular TikTok trends.
Among the challenges they have joined are Blaqbonez and Asake’s “Channel” challenge and Qing Madi’s “Come Slide” challenge.
Their performance of “Come Slide” attracted attention from Qing Madi herself, who humorously remarked that Dolapo should return her song.
One of the pupils, Dolapo Ezieke, has emerged as a standout personality among the group. Her confidence and expressive performances have earned her a growing fan base, leading her mother to create and manage a separate TikTok account that has already attracted more than 50,000 followers.

Another pupil, Priscillia Morris, is also gaining popularity online through a TikTok account managed by her mother.
With Inyang expected to complete his NYSC service in the coming months, many followers have expressed curiosity about what the future holds for the pupils’ growing social media presence.
For many viewers, the videos offer a refreshing glimpse into teacher-pupil relationships that blend education, creativity and positive engagement while keeping learning at the centre of the experience.
