FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup: Nigeria vs Germany — date, time, where to watch

The FrontierThe FrontierSeptember 4, 2024 4171 Minutes read0

Nigeria’s youth women’s national team, the Falconets, are set to face Germany in their second group game of the 11th FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.

The Falconets secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Korea Republic at the Estadio El Techo in Bogota, Colombia, on Sunday night, reports Vanguard.

Flourish Sabastine’s 86th-minute goal proved decisive in a tightly contested Group D encounter.

Speaking after the win, Falconets’ head coach told FIFA.com he’s confident of his team’s ability to play better against Germany.

“It was a tough match, being the first match. The victory is sweet because it puts your foot in the group,” Danjuma stated.

“My team performed well, but I know we’re going to perform much, much, much better than this.”

In the other fixture, Germany defeated Venezuela 5-2 to top the group.

This will be the fifth encounter between the two nations, with Nigeria still searching for their first win against Germany in the competition, having lost in the finals in 2010 and 2014.

Nigeria vs Germany

Date and Time: The match between the Falconets of Nigeria and Germany is scheduled for today, Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at Bogota’s 10,000-seat Estadio Metropolitano de Tech.

Where to Watch: The game will be broadcast live on SuperSport and FIFA+ and is set to kick off at 11:00 PM Nigerian time.
