On Saturday, November 29, 2025, a popular Lagos event center, Aroba Creative Hub, came alive as Spare Keys, a public relations and creative direction company known for its strong community ethos, hosted the maiden edition of Keycard.

It was a day-long access-granting experience designed for young professionals and enthusiasts across creative PR, branding, marketing, and culture journalism.
Highlights of this first-ever edition of Keycard were panel conversations, insight sessions, film screenings, free headshots, content corners, themed games, and live music performances, among other activities.

Across social media and post-event conversations, guests praised the quality of the programming, the attention to detail, and the overall experience, marking Keycard as a standout moment for Lagos fast-growing creative ecosystem.

“Spare Keys created something genuinely refreshing; a space where creativity feels accessible, collaborative, and exciting,” a participant told The Frontier in a chat.
From practical learning moments to artistic showcases, Keycard blended education and entertainment in a way that encouraged genuine connection.

Speaking to The Frontier on the vision behind Keycard, Itty Okim, the Founder and Lead Creative Director at Spare Keys, said:
“Keycard is our way of opening the doors wider. We wanted to create a space where young people interested in creative media professions feel seen, supported, and inspired. And where knowledge is something shared, not gated. Community sits at the heart of everything we do at Spare Keys, and this first edition proved why that matters.”

One of the high points of the day was the film screening block, which brought emerging filmmakers into direct conversation with the audience.
Notably, Ademola Falomo and Fedworks (Davidson Edeogu) were present to speak briefly about their respective films Finding Serenity and Orange Bowl — before the screenings began, alongside Damilola Onafuwa’s Dreams On Edge, adding an unexpected layer of insight and intimacy to the experience.

The creative energy continued into the networking segment, where attendees engaged with food and cocktail stands, a headshot corner, marketing challenges, and games designed to spark connection.

The event closed on a celebratory note with a surprise: Afrobeats artiste Dxtiny made an unannounced appearance, joining Izee Smith for a live music performance that quickly became one of the most talked-about moments of the day.
Their joint performance added a warm, communal finish to an already vibrant gathering.

Supported by DigiMillennials, MoreBranches, FilmbyDT, Aroba Hub, Ghost Media Productions, Eko247, TrendsBee, and Ebubechi Studios, Keycard successfully brought together emerging and established players across Nigeria’s buzzing creative ecosystem.

“With its inaugural edition leaving a strong impression, Keycard has positioned itself as one of the most promising emerging community events for young creatives looking to connect, learn, showcase, and grow,” said Itty Okim.
