JUST IN: Former Minister Uche Nnaji arrested at Enugu airport over alleged certificate forgery

•Uche Nnaji

Former Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Uche Nnaji, has reportedly been arrested by operatives of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu.

The reported arrest follows an earlier warrant issued by a Federal High Court in Abuja over allegations of certificate forgery after the former minister allegedly failed to honour invitations from the anti-graft agency.

The court had also authorised the ICPC to declare him wanted pending his arrest, reports The Guardian.

Nnaji is expected to remain in the custody of the Commission as investigations continue.

He has, however, previously denied the allegations against him.
