NBA Benin branch kicks off 2024 Law Week activities

The NBA Benin Branch has kickstarted its 2024 Law Week. The event was flagged off on Monday, July 1, 2024, at the Ceremonial Court Hall of the Edo State High Court, Sapele Road, Benin City, with the theme “Law As A Tool For Economic Advancement And National Security.”

A statement by the branch publicity secretary, Festus Osagie Usiobaifo, KSM today, made available to The Frontier says the session included a bench of judges and various legal luminaries, including the former NBA President, Mr. Olumide Akpata, and the Edo State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Oluwole Osaze-Uzzi.

Others are the Solicitor-General of Edo State, Prof. Faith Osadolor; the Majority Leader of the Edo State House of Assembly, Hon. Charity Aiguobarueghian; and Dr. Asue Ighodalo, who delivered a lecture titled, “Foreign Direct Investment: A Sure Way to Economic Stability and Investment Security.”

Also present at the session were the Chairman of the Benin Branch, Chief Nosa Francis Edo-Osagie, Ken E. Mozia, SAN; High Chief G.C. Igbokwe, SAN; former Attorney General of Edo State, Oluwole O. Iyamu, SAN; Ogaga Ovrawah, SAN; former Attorney General of Edo State, Dr. Osagie Obayuwana; member of the Edo State Judicial Service Commission, Elder Dele Edokpayi, Esq.; and Chairman of the 2024 Annual Law Week Committee of the Benin Branch, Hon. Paschal Ugbome.
