Paris Fashion Week: Nigerian singers Wizkid, Asake spotted at Louis Vuitton Show in France

The FrontierThe FrontierJune 24, 2026 152 Minutes read0

•Wizkid and Asake

Nigeria’s creative influence continues to gain ground on the global stage, with music stars Wizkid and Asake making high-profile appearances at the Louis Vuitton Menswear Spring/Summer 2027 presentation during Paris Men’s Fashion Week.

The Louis Vuitton Menswear Spring/Summer 2027 presentation by Men’s Creative Director Pharrell Williams drew celebrities and industry figures from across fashion, music, sports, and entertainment as the luxury fashion house unveiled its latest collection, reports Channels TV.

Wizkid and Asake’s appearance at the show further highlighted the growing influence of Nigeria and African talents on the global fashion and entertainment scene, with international luxury brands increasingly embracing African artists and cultural figures at major industry events.

Their presence placed them alongside an array of international stars at the presentation, including French basketball sensation Victor Wembanyama, American rapper Missy Elliott, actor Jeremy Allen White, rapper Lil Baby, and singer Angélique Kidjo, underscoring Louis Vuitton’s continued ability to draw influential figures from fashion, music, sports, and entertainment.

African artistes have become increasingly visible at major fashion events, as luxury brands seek stronger connections with the continent’s expanding cultural and creative influence.

Pharrell Williams transformed a section of Paris into a beach-inspired landscape for the menswear show, unveiling a sprawling sandy runway and wave-themed set design that drew inspiration from surfing culture.

Ahead of the presentation, Louis Vuitton described the show as “an ode to the surfing community,” saying “a cascading wave forms the backdrop” of the Spring-Summer 2027 collection.

In a separate post, Pharrell said the collection was inspired by embracing the sea and shore as spaces of universal human belonging.

A Global Fashion Showcase

Paris Men’s Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2027 has brought together some of the world’s leading fashion houses, designers, buyers, editors, and industry stakeholders for a week of runway shows, presentations, and networking events in the French capital.

While the Nigerian stars have so far only been spotted at the Louis Vuitton presentation, the fashion week continues to serve as a major platform for showcasing the latest trends and creative directions in menswear.

This season’s calendar features presentations and runway shows from some of the industry’s most recognised brands, including Dior Homme, Saint Laurent, Kenzo, Amiri, Dries Van Noten, Yohji Yamamoto, Rick Owens, Issey Miyake, Hermès, Lanvin, Sacai, and Celine.

The event forms part of the international menswear season and remains one of the most closely watched fixtures on the global fashion calendar, attracting participants from across Europe, North America, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.

More Shows Ahead

Attention is expected to remain firmly on Paris in the coming days as more designers unveil their Spring/Summer 2027 collections and celebrities continue to make appearances at various shows and presentations across the city.

With several high-profile runway showcases still scheduled, fashion enthusiasts and industry observers will be watching closely for emerging trends, standout collections, and memorable celebrity moments.

Activities are set to continue throughout the week before Paris Men’s Fashion Week concludes on Sunday, June 28, bringing to a close another chapter in the global menswear season and setting the tone for conversations that could shape fashion in the months ahead.
