Schoolchildren caught on camera in violent street fight

The FrontierThe FrontierDecember 2, 2025 1570 Minutes read0

A video making the rounds today has ignited public outrage after a group of secondary school students, still in their uniforms were seen attacking one another.

The incident, which many online commenters described as yet another sign of collapsing discipline and weakening parental control, occurred in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, reports The PUNCH.

It involved students from three public schools who appeared to take their rivalry beyond the classroom and into the streets.

In the video, the students in different school uniforms were seen charging, chasing, and clashing while residents watch from a distance.

Posting the clip on X, Oyo Affairs wrote,

“Public secondary school students from Olubi Memorial Grammar School, Community High School, and Ibadan Grammar caught on camera fighting. Govt needs to do something fast!!!”

Although the exact cause of the altercation remains unclear, the video has once again stirred urgent concerns about rising youth violence, the erosion of discipline, and the creeping presence of cult-style group clashes within some Nigerian secondary schools.

Authorities are yet to issue a formal response.
