Nigeria’s frontline movie producer and director, Zeb Ejiro has been penciled to be honoured at this year’s Nigeria Week in London with Life-Time Achievement Award.

The weeklong awards ceremony is scheduled to hold from July 22 to 28, 2024 at the Prestigious Lighthouse Theatre, London.

According to a statement made available to The Frontier by Ogbevire Christian Ashaiku on behalf of SRTV Media Limited, organisers of the event, the award is in recognition of Zeb Ejiro’s exemplary leadership, standard mentorship, professional conduct and patriotic roles he has played and continues to play in the Nigeria film industry.

In addition to the award, Ejiro who is fondly referred to as the Sheilk of Nigeria’s movie industry, has also been shortlisted among the panellists of the UK/Nigerian Film Summit designed to address the challenges of funding, exhibition, distribution, productions and co-production between the United Kingdom and Nigeria at Nigeria Week, London 2024.

“Nigeria Week in London is an admixture of entertainment and business events designed
to showcase Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage. It is proposed as an annual week-long event which will take place in the United Kingdom. The event will feature an array of Nigerian foods, films, art and culture, fashion, and music,” said the organisers.

“SRTV Recognition Awards is an integral part of Nigeria Week, London, specifically designed to acknowledge and appreciate patriotic and exceptional Nigerians and Nigerian businesses in Nigeria and in the diaspora.

“There will also be an economic summit and an exhibition of numerous Nigerian agricultural produce,” the statement further stated.
