DANGER: Residents scoop fuel from fallen tanker in Cross River •VIDEO

The FrontierThe FrontierOctober 24, 2024 3120 Minutes read0

Residents of the Akamkpa area of Cross River State were seen scooping fuel from a fallen tanker on the roadside.

This was disclosed in a statement and video shared on X.com by The Cable today.

The statement reads, “TRENDING VIDEO: Residents scoop fuel from a fallen tanker in Akamkpa, Cross River”

In the video, the residents were seen siphoning fuel into different kinds of kegs, buckets and others from the falling tanker.

It was earlier reported that the Federal Road Safety Corps has restated that no tanker is permitted to load without first passing a series of rigorous safety inspections, amid rising concerns over frequent tanker explosions.

There was an explosion on October 15 at Majia, in the Taura Local Government Area of Jigawa State, involving a petrol-laden truck travelling from Kano to Nguru in Yobe State.
