Edo governorship election: Labour Party candidate Akpata casts vote amid hitches with BVAS

•Olumide Akpata casts vote

The Labour Party, LP, candidate at the Edo State Gubernatorial elections, Olumide Akpata, has cast his vote at his polling unit at Oredo Ward 6, Unit 11.

The voting has been largely peaceful across the state, except for a few cases of late arrival of voting materials and hitches with the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System, BVAS, machines in some areas, according to various media reports.
