The FrontierThe FrontierApril 10, 2026 1040 Minutes read0

A vehicle suspected to be conveying explosive materials has been intercepted by residents at Gada area on the outskirts of Kazaure town in Kazaure Local Government Area of Jigawa State.

According to Zagazola Makama, a security consultant and security expert, “the incident occurred at about 1:00 a.m. today, April 10.”

According to the sources, the vehicle, a Volkswagen Golf, was loaded with items suspected to be explosive materials when it was intercepted by vigilant members of the community, reports Daily Independent.

The occupants of the vehicle reportedly fled the scene upon being confronted, abandoning both the vehicle and the suspected consignment.

The sources said the vehicle and the recovered items were subsequently evacuated and handed over to security agents for further investigation.

They added that efforts were ongoing to track down the fleeing suspects and determine the nature of the recovered materials.
