•Kenneth Imansugbon
Governorship aspirant of the Labour Party in the 2024 election in Edo State, Kenneth Imansugbon, has officially joined the African Democratic Party (ADC).
Speaking to journalists shortly after obtaining his membership card, Imansuagbon said he is joining the ADC because it is the only credible alternative that will bring genuine change in the country, reports Daily Trust.
“Nobody can come from to rescue Nigeria, it is Nigerians that will rescue themselves.”
“I am joining the ADC because I am tired of hunger, it is no longer hinger but starvation.”
He lamented that a bag of rice that was N7000 is now about N110,000 adding that because of the high cost, he can no longer distribute rice to widows.
He said he can’t be a part of the system where those in charge can’t ensure good governance, high exchange rate while the masses are suffering.
“For me, I have alternative now that is genuinely for change, alternative that want to reduce food prices, love the common man, widows and students. That alternative is ADC”
Imasuagbon said by joining the ADC, he was ready to lead the battle for change and good governance, employment for youths, good education, security among others.
He said he moved from Labour Party to ADC because it is in line with his principle and aspiration of good governance.
“Nigerians should entertain fear, and joined the ADC because it is the only vehicle for Nigeria to reach the promise land. Nobody can repair Nigeria other than Nigerians,” he said.
“People are saying why am i moving from one party to the other, I am tired of killing, insecurity, poverty and high cost of living”
Welcoming Imasuagbon, state ADC chairman, Kennedy Odion, described ADC as movement that has come to ensure that Nigeria is not a one party state.
He said ADC has provided a platform for Nigerians to actualize their dream and aspiration of good governance.
According to him, those joining the coalition are people who detest bad governance and vowed to rescue the country.
“Before 2027, it would be glaring that the ruling party should park and leave. We are going to witness massive decamping from other parties to ADC,” he said.
