•Lagos Model College

The Lagos State Government has announced the commencement of the 2025 entrance examination for admission into its Model Colleges and upgraded Junior Secondary Schools.

The Director of the Lagos State Examinations Board, Orunsolu Adebayo, in a statement today, informed the parents, guardians, and headmasters of primary 6 pupils transiting to Junior Secondary Schools that the board is set to conduct the Entrance Examination for the eligible candidates.

Adebayo revealed that the screening test will begin tomorrow, Wednesday, May 28 to Thursday, May 29, 2025, and will be conducted through Computer-Based Test (CBT) across the five designated centers in the state.

He advised all duly registered applicants to revisit the board’s portal: https://examsboard.lagosstate.gov.ng with their username and password to print out a clear copy of their sitting arrangements.

Candidates are expected to go to the examination venue with the exam slip (printout) and ensure that they arrive at the venue as early as possible, he said.

Adebayo also disclosed that the screening test was the only pathway for admission into JSS1 in any model colleges and that only primary 6 pupils are eligible for the test.

“The candidates that pass and meet the required cut-off marks will be offered admission into any of the Model Colleges and Upgraded Junior Secondary Schools irrespective of his/her First or Second choice.”
