Tunji Disu takes charge at Force Headquarters

Acting Inspector-General of Police, Tunji Disu, has officially taken over the command structure of the Nigeria Police Force at Force Headquarters barely one hour he was decorated at the Presidential Villa.

Disu, who was appointed yesterday by President Bola Tinubu, after resignation of the former police boss, Kayode Egbetokun, arrived the popular Louis Edet House at about 4:37pm today.

Accompanied by senior officers from the Federal Capital Territory command, Intelligence Response unit and Force Headquarters, Disu was ushered in with ceremonial salute from the quarter guards.

The well-attended handing over ceremony was still on as at when filing this report.
