Victor Osimhen scored in the decisive second leg of the qualifiers for the round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League as Galatasaray defeated Juventus 7-5 aggregate to reach the first knockout stage.
After their 5-2 first leg win in Istanbul, Galatasaray fell flat 3-0 in the regulation time in Turin, bringing the aggregate score to 5-5, reports AFP.
However, in the ensuing thirty minutes extra time, the Turkish giants turned the heat on their hosts, scoring twice, with the the Super Eagles forward grabbing a goal in the 105th minutes before his team mate, Yilmaz, got the second minutes later to bring the aggregate score to 7-5 in favour of Galatasaray.
All through the game in Turin, Osimhen was a thong in the flesh of the Old Ladies although he couldn’t find the back of the net in the regulation time — a feat he achieved in the extra time against the ten-man Juventus to power his club to the round of 16.
