Remains of late Army chief Lagbaja arrives Abuja for burial

•Late Lieutenant General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja

The remains of the late Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja, arrived in Abuja from Lagos today ahead of his final rites scheduled for tomorrow.

The remains arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at 12:16 p.m.

The scheduled funeral services will begin today with a Service of Songs, followed by his interment on tomorrow afternoon.

According to the Director of Army Public Relations, Major General Onyema Nwachukwu, General Lagbaja will be laid to rest at the National Military Cemetery in Abuja tomorrow.
